A fun snack, a fun band

It sure has been awhile. I'm sorry to all those that have been pining for an entry by your good friend Taylor "Bruce Lee" Gersbach. I've never really been called that before, but let's see what we can get started. I would have chosen Jackie Chan, but Chase called dibs.

So anyone that knows me knows that my mind enjoys to wonder. Sometimes people will be talking, and suddenly crazy images form in my head. I'll elaborate! This is the reason that I'm even writing.

So it's summertime. A time of heat, and heatiness, and ice cream, and vacation, and being hot, etc. So the heat inspires cool refreshments. Like ice cream. I mentioned that already though. Well, at my work we would have otterpops. What college student hasn't bought otterpops? Well anywho, we get these at my work. I don't know if you've noticed, but they have little cartoon otters on the side. Pictured here:

Well, while eating otterpops I started to think of these characters living in a crazy otter city that I like to call "Otterpopton." I started to think of little lives for all of these crazy characters. Don't judge me ok? So I thought of the blue french one as the town drunk. He mocks everyone in the street and talks bad about how stupid they are. Then he drinks wine till he passes out. Wino! Then the red one. She just looks a little trampy. Where is her shirt!!??! The pink one is the illegal immigrant. Remember how we aren't suppose to judge me. Good! I'm glad that we're still on the same page. Next is the town nerd. The green one. He is definitely the mayor of the town. He looks like he has a pretty good head on his shoulders, but you could probably sway him to do whatever you wanted cuz he has no backbone. The orange one is an orphan. She looks really sad in this picture. Anyway, moving on. The final is the purple one. He looks like a guy you can party with. Toga party anyone?

Well, I would chuckle to myself every time that I would eat otterpops. I than began to think "where did these characters come from?" I decided to go to the internet. What I discovered was amazing! I put "otterpops" into google and out came this website about who they are. It talks about how they are in a band together called the otterpopstars. They have a guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, vocals, and triangle. The triangle makes the band! You're probably thinking, I read this whole post to find this out? Well feast your eyes. This is incredible!

Taco Bell just gives you what they feel like.

I went to Taco bell the other day, and maybe its just the Taco Bell here, but sometimes I swear that they give you whatever they want no matter what your order is.
I ordered a Chalupa and a double decker taco, and got my food and drove back to work, but when I got there and pulled out my food, I had some random burrito and some random taco (I don't remember what they were, because I didn't actually order what they gave me).
It is hands down the most unreliable fast food place I've been to (and I admit that it may just be the one here, but its pretty bad).
When I create a visual image of the back of the taco bell when I order food I picture someone on their phone who is so caught up in a conversation that they only remember that I ordered two things and just grab the first two things they see.
Its probably some kind of game to them. The game of "Let's see what this person is getting today..." Apparently I won some random burrito and some random taco....
Really, I should go order something really cheap and hope to hit big on the lucky draw.

Free The Airwaves

Ok, this is something I think that everyone should take a second to read and sign. Google is putting a petition together to allow the newly opened airspaces between TV stations to be used for free public WiFi (previously used as a buffer zone when Analog TV was still be used, and with the switch to Digital it will no longer be relevant).
I honestly thing this is a fantastic idea, and the petition is really easy to fill out and will be sent to the Federal Communications Commission. Simply go to the website

http://FreeTheAirwaves.com

and click the “Take Action” link in the upper right corner.

Not only is free public WiFi a great thing for those of you with laptops (being able to connect anywhere would be pretty sweet), but has A LOT of potential. Imagine free phone (or significantly cheaper) that are VOIP instead of using the carriers we have now. (just one possibility)
Downside: This free WiFi will most likely be add based, but for me, I’m ok with that. Its why I don’t care about having adds in my email from Google. They don’t interfere that much and because of them, I get to use a quality product for free. Seems like a fair tradeoff to me….

Funny Website

I found this one website thanks to Mitch. And it made my day (or at least gave me a laugh for a bit).

I realize that there may be a couple of you out there who might find it a little annoying, but try to stay in good humor about it ;)

(It really did make my day when I saw this. Very creative)

Japanese Game Shows

Japanese game shows have been a big hit on YouTube for a while. Apparently Americans love watching goofy Japanese game shows (and rightly so in my opinion) to see all the crazy things that they make each other do for the glory of winning.

Lately, there has been a lot of remakes of these game shows. Wipeout is one that some of you may or may not recognize (I believe its on on Tuesdays). It's done in homage to MXC (you can see a little hint of Ninja Warrior in there too. And yes, I know that MXC is kind of Americanized because of the dubbing, but not completely done in America with Americans). In fact, just the other day I noticed that they are making the Human Tetris one as well now.

Well, as neat as I do think it is that they are bringing these shows to US TV (secretly I want to go participate in these shows. You gotta admit, it would be fun), there is something about watching the Japanese do it themselves that makes it so great.

I came across this clip on youtube the other day of what I thought is a quality game show (I would be a little surprised if they brought this one to US TV though... :) )
Enjoy:

And just for kicks and gigles, heres Human Tetris (the Japanese version) and a few other classics that I think are hillarious as well:

Watch this next one to the end. I promise, its absolutely amazing:
